I've fixed the old join form to function as it nicely made the bio stuff and halo work together. So it still uses the old site for now. I will be working to get the new skin working hopefully soon.

I would like to express how grateful I am to everyone who made USI-RPG a success in the past. First and foremost, my wife. She ran USI like a clockwork for so many years. Secondly, Mike, who wrote Halo and continues to make it work even on strange hardware. The Admirals who managed the crew and kept everyone playing nicely and of course, the players, who enjoy the universe and submit great ideas to enhance its flavor.

We have made a few changes as to how the game is ran and would invite you to go to the website and check it out. Most notably a distinct separation between the NRPG and the RPG experience. Players now can earn captain and Admiral ranks without them being tied to Game Admin responsibilities. The only thing you need to do to keep these ranks is post! List and Listgroup moderation positions will be available to ensure that the lists are ran smoothly. These positions will be chosen based on you and not your character.

We have also updated a lot of things and added in new information on the website.  We will be continuing to update the site and expand its content on a more regular basis than we did before.

We will begin the start of the game with a single list for a few days to establish the plot. I will be posting the posts on the website as I receive them (look in the Community Portal). In addition, many have expressed desire to participate. While it is impossible for us to include everyone in this reopening plot, we are going to try and run some additional lists which will participate in a RPG fashion on the main plot. We will be starting on Wednesday, so check the website or get in touch with me.

If you are in USI-Survivors, please talk to Dale (TK on the Eglanand or Bob Young) who can help coordinate the side plot. If you are not in USI-Survivors, email me that you wish to participate and I'm sure I can find you a home. :D After this plot we will reactivate ships as necessary to make sure everyone has a place to post to and proceed to PBEM!

ReOpening Official

The word is getting out and its true! USI-RPG is reopening for game play.

We are redoing the website but many people just can't wait so we are going to start anyways. Its been just a little over 6 months since I needed to shut the game down temporarily, but now I am able to open it back up again, and talk about a ton of enthusiasm from a lot of people. I don't think I expected this kind of response.

The join form will be made shortly if you don't already have an account. Until then, just email me and I'll get you setup!

Sincerely,

Kriss Orton AKA USI-RPG Administrator

Halo

Halo is mostly working now. We need to give thanks to Talmage who worked very hard in getting halo working on a MIPS platform computer for us. Thank you very much! Seccour 00:17, 22 October 2007 (MDT)

Bio's

NPC and PC Bio's are now up and viewable. Some of the old forms still have errors, but I'm likely not going to fix them as I will be writing new pages which look like this site. Seccour 13:23, 18 October 2007 (MDT)

I have just moved the website over to our new hosting server. For the time being the old site will be largely unavailable due to the number of pages required to edit to bring back online. The Wiki (The new information site) should be nearly all up and running. I will work on getting the other pages back online.

Please note that at this time, Halo will cease to function as far as Mail Deliver services. We will be looking a SBC or like device for the future. In the Meantime, we will be using our hosting providers and commonly used MailMan list server. It doesn't have quite the features and flexibility as Halo, but it will do.

Thanks,

Added alot of content to the Help pages. If you are going to be editing pages, please read at least the Naming_Conventions bit and review the templates so you know whats going on. Thx. Seccour 01:24, 9 May 2007 (MDT)

Galactic Time/Clock is available through this link now, which is linked from the Galaxy page. --Seccour 00:05, 27 April 2007 (MDT)

We are in the process of moving the current data of the old site to the wiki for easier maintenance and display. --Seccour 10:30, 25 April 2007 (MDT)
