The current time and date is determined by a set of stars from another galaxy in line with stars in our own. When those stars line up with a star from our galaxy, that is the current plane (like month). The alignment last for several days before moving into the next plane.

USI uses standard galactic time for current times and dates. There are 13 months and 241 days on this system, and days are 36 hours long.

The months in order are:

  • Lyra
  • Cancrii
  • Delphinus
  • Phoenicis
  • Chara
  • Eridanus
  • Xi
  • Caelum
  • Indus
  • Velorum
  • Orion
  • Pyxidis
