Summary

The Reckoning, as the Darkarians refer to it, was a massive, large scale and all out attack that was launched primarily against USI (but not limited to) with the aim of the outright destruction of USI and reaffirming their dominance in the galaxy.

The Attack

In the early stages before the attack, the Darkarians had always known that displacing Major Admiral Kerok Seccour, would be key to victory. Typically Seccour didn't get away from Tryst, the very heart of the Unified Space Intelligence. A cunning plan was enacted to cause the Galactic Alliance to retract the Quarantine status on the Sol system, where the terrans first homeworld Earth was located. Due to the known connections of the Darkarians to the GA, the retraction was not only a unexpected, but seemingly out of character for the GA, who was typically plagued by bureaucracy and major decisions such as this were always known far ahead of time before their execution. The intent was to divert USI's resources in order for the hive to attack tryst and reanimate the dormant symbiont within Seccour, Dylocke.

However, Major Admiral Kerok Seccour himself pulled the USI Stingray in, and joined with his personal assistant, Lilly Demonas, went to investigate sol.

Upon investigation of Earth, it was found that the remnants of the Terrans who stayed behind were surviving, and plagued by the Darkarian hive. For how long the hive had infiltrated its social structure is unclear. Shortly after the Stingray arrived at Earth, moving Major Admiral Kerok Seccour far away from Tryst, the Darkarians prepared to change the status quo of the universe in their favor.

Attack against Tryst was carried out by thousands of scouts, millions of Scorpions and hundreds of unidentified Darkarian LIS ships. The bulk of the Darkarian forces were focused on USI stations, bases, and worlds, with a lesser part attacking USI Protected worlds and territories where USI merely had a presence and no real military establishment. As a show of force to the rest of the galaxy, an additional lesser forces were dispatched everywhere in a strike and terror campaign, pushing their realm of influence even further and wider than ever.

Effects

USI's center of operation, Tryst Station was destroyed, effectively cutting all USI ships off from communications and any support.

USI fleet strength was reduced from 150,000+ ships to around 3,000 ships, spread across the Galaxy. With communications down, and with Seccour's last message to scatter away from USI stations, the fleet remnants were in major disarray.
