Because I've apparently not made it clear with the normal TOS and rules, I feel compelled to write an extension to hopefully help others understand them better.

What this means is be nice. Making offhand comments about someone being a communist because you are joking doesn't mean that someone else will not take offense. This is absolutely inappropriate and not warrented here. The server is PRIVATELY owned, and there is an established code of conduct to ensure that this atmosphere is clean and available to players of all ages and backgrounds. It doesn't matter if you are from country A. People are from Countries B, C and D and failure to be considerate in your communications means that you will possibly offend them.

I will remove offensive content because its exactly that, offensive. Freedom of speech doesn't apply as this is an international community participating on a PRIVATE SERVER. This is my house. My property. I set the rules to make sure that everyone can play. PLEASE, remember that you are guests here on my server and I want everyone to play and have fun. But when those who are here who decide that they are special in that they don't need to be considerate of others -- that is when I take active measures to ensure the enviornment of the game and its services. Those special people get to play with other special people, and that group of special people do not get to play with the Mature, considerate, intelligent players.

This is absolutely inappropriate and not warranted here. To answer the question on everyones mind, Yes, Someone did post content that was inappropriate. I removed the content and posted a warning. They proceeded to become biligerant and have left the game. It is unfortunate that they could not see how immature they have become in this. We hope that one day when they have grown up a bit and matured, they can again play the game as everyone else does, kindly, supportively, and without intent to abuse verbally (or textually in this case) even if they consider it 'kidding' or 'joking' around. What disturbs me most is that a comment bad back at this individual they acted offended and didn't see them as joking. This is a perfect example of why we need to follow these ETIQUETTE standards.

Please be kind to other players. Remember, we are a international community who have different cultures and backgrounds. The server standard is intended to be 'ultra conservative' on purpose to ensure that anyone and everyone can play here and have fun. If everyone could already play nicely to begin with and know how to communicate with everyone, regarding their background and what they feel is appropriate, we wouldn't need these TOS, Rules and notes of proper Etiquette. But we don't, and that is because we all belong to the Human Race. We may have different backgrounds, but that is okay too, in fact its awesome! I have grown to love people who I've never met in real life and respect them because they respected me and we found mutual bonding.

Code of Conduct

A defined Code of Conduct has hereby been established and Enforced in order to maintain a decent playing atmosphere.

The most basic of the code is language used in the game, Chat Rooms, Forums, and other means available in which the player or User submits his information to be viewed publicly.

All language is to be kept clean, free from vulgar words. Vulgar words imply all forms of swearing (cussing, cursing, etc...) disrepectful use of diety and graphic descriptions (sexual, violent, racist, etc..) Replacing letters ( like writing foobar, but instead writing foober ) or just typing in the first letter followed by stars (EX: Y*** or Y**L (Y and L are random letters for the purpose of this example)) subis considered to be breach of the code and is prohibited. Use of all *'s ( EX: **** ) is more acceptable, however discouraged. Vulgarness is considered to be unintelligent and is taboo in USI-RPG.

Subject matter will also be required to be kept clean. Material made public considered to be in violation includes to defame, harass, threaten,or violate the legal rights of other parties, obscene, indecent, unlawful or anything which is hateful or violent towards any one person or group because of their belonging to a race, religion or nation, or that is discriminatory.

USI-RPG reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these Terms, and will not be liable for any damage, emotional or physical. The Chat room is monitored ( All text is recorded ) to help ensure the quality of the enviornment.

Conclusion

What this means is be nice. Making offhand comments about someone being a communist because you are joking doesn't mean that someone else will not take offense. This is absolutely inappropriate and not warranted here. There is an established code of conduct to ensure that this atmosphere is clean and available to players of all backgrounds without them feeling like they will always be attacked, criticized or badgered because of their background or really anything else. It doesn't matter if you are from country A. People are from Countries B, C and D and failure to be considerate in your communications means that you may offend. Offensive content will be removed because its exactly that, offensive.

To answer the question on everyones mind, Yes, Someone did post content that was inappropriate. I removed the content and posted a warning. What disturbs me most is that a comment made back at this individual they acted offended and didn't see them as joking.
