Frigate

A class of war-starship used for a variety of roles. Its noted for being as large as a Cruiser, however faster and does not carry as large of variety of weapon tiers. Its typical roles are Escort, Recon, and Seeker (heavy single tier attack) war roles. While moderately armored, its defenses are rely largely on speed and maneuverability. With a large emphasis on efficiency, the Frigate can be suited for many roles and high endurance for these tasks.
