General Information

These thin, long razors are designed for one purpose, to severe. Whether cutting steel or severing the spinal column of a Darkarian drone, the Jamens are designed to cut. This does make them somewhat of a hazard though, especially when activating the tristar.

The tristar is the molecular construction module that activates the changes in the structure of the metal alloy of the blade and the leather/cloth like alloy of the hilt.

While in storage, the swords take up little space. Razor thin the bulkieast piece is the cloth hilt, whch in storage form appears more like a set of wrist straps that wrap around the hand.

The MCM tristar attatches to the hip or to a shoulder. when the dormant sword is connect to it the blade changes structure and molds to the wearer\'s clothes. It will look rather ugly, a fuzzy maroon blob around the tristar and a dark grey two cm wide streak down the leg or diagonally across the bask; in this form it is flexible, it bends to the movements of the wearer.

When the Jamen is needed the bearer places their preferred hand onto the tristar and activates the third transformation of the jamen. The maroon leather like section will form tight straps around the hand so that the sword my be gripped in a fist. Part of this section hardens into a rod that fits securly in the hand. The blade itself gains solidarity, and becomes rigid and inflexible.

The sword molds back one placed on the tristar, and when deactivated the jamen reverts to its storable form.

The weapons are inefficient and clumsy to use for most things, but against darkarins they have proven useful. They are primarily civilian issue, due to the ease of their storage they are easily accessible. On stations they can be found in the amory or in emergency compartments built into the corridors.

While generally not a preferred weapon, they have proven useful.
