Energy Deprivation Field is a developed technology for use against energy based beings. The idea is to drain energy away from energy beings by using intense bursts of energy from a energy based weapon, like a PEC. The Deprivation fields are designed to channel energy away from the beings, rather than allow them to absorb them.
